Most of the crash was due to inexperienced drivers and a handful of DUI (driving under the influence). In 2007 this new technology of allowing the vehicle to detect when the diver was under the influence by the sweating of the palms or body temperature provided by the driver seat.
Nissan pioneered this new wave of safety for vehicle. The smart technology was advance over the years to the point were by 2017 there was a dramatic drop. So dramatic that the yearly crash was down to only around 300,000 hundred a year-- an enormous drop. In the last 30 years the world of car crashes has just disappeared in to thin air.
